This weekend, customers who pre-ordered 20-year aged cheddar from Hook’s Cheese were able to pick up the rare sharp cheese. Half the proceeds from the $209 per pound cheese will benefit the Dairy Innovation Hub. This is the second time cheese maker Tony Hook has made available the specialty aged cheddar. In 2015, the proceeds from the cheese benefited the Babcock Hall Dairy Plant/Center for Dairy Research capital project.
