UW System Regents’ Academic Staff Excellence Awards nominations due Feb. 8

The Academic Staff Professional Development and Recognition Committee is pleased to invite nominations from UW-Madison for the 2019 Regents’ Academic Staff Excellence Awards. These awards demonstrate the Regents’ strong appreciation for the dedicated work, vital services, and outstanding contributions of the UW System’s non-instructional academic staff. Across UW System, there will be two individual recipients, and a third award to honor an outstanding program. Each award will be for $5,000, which we expect will be presented at the June 7, 2019 meeting of the Board of Regents in Milwaukee.

Nominees for the individual award should be non-instructional academic staff members, and nominations for the program award should be ones that are staffed primarily by non-instructional academic staff members. The Regent awards committee will screen nominees based on four criteria: excellence of performance, personal interaction, initiative and creativity, and outstanding achievement. Similar criteria will be applied to nominated programs. The documentation provided should explicitly address these criteria.
