Robert W. Bray, Professor Emeritus of Meat and Animal Science and longtime CALS associate dean for research, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007 at the age of 88. He joined the CALS faculty in the in 1941, followed by a three-year stint with the Navy in World War II. He returned to spend the rest of his career at the university, retiring in 1984. He is credited with initiating the Meat Science teaching, research and extension programs.
