Food Is Medicine Working Group kickoff meeting – Oct. 12
Join colleagues from across UW–Madison for the Food Is Medicine Working Group kickoff meeting on Monday, October 12, from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Union South.
Register today. Lunch will be provided.
Food Is Medicine work is already happening across campus in many forms, from research and clinical care to agriculture, nutrition, teaching, Extension, policy, and community engagement. This new Working Group is intended to help connect these efforts, build new cross-campus and transdisciplinary relationships, and position UW teams to pursue emerging funding and collaboration opportunities.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about Food Is Medicine activities and resources across UW–Madison, hear about the evolving funding landscape and connect with colleagues working in related areas. A substantial portion of the meeting will be interactive, with small-group discussions focused on shared challenges, needs, big ideas and opportunities for collaboration.
The kickoff meeting serves as a starting point for future engagement and work. Input from meeting participants will help shape future priorities and activities for the Working Group, including potential collaborative teams, funding-focused efforts, and connections across research, teaching, Extension, and community engagement.
