Grad students and post-docs: Apply to share research at UW–Madison’s Day at the Capitol by Feb. 28
The UW–Madison Office of State Relations is seeking graduate student and postdoctoral researchers interested in sharing their research with state policymakers this spring as part of the annual UW–Madison Day at the Capitol on April 30. This event will be held in-person and consists of a luncheon at the Madison Concourse Hotel from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and the opportunity to meet with state policy makers during a poster presentation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Capitol rotunda. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to present their work to a non-scientific audience and show legislators, staffers, civil servants and the public the cutting-edge research occurring on campus and why it is important to Wisconsinites.
The application is due by 11:59 p.m. on February 28. There will be a training event in mid-April for those selected to present a poster to provide resources for communicating with policymakers.
For more information see the event website. If you have questions about the event or application, please email Natalia Rosario-Meléndez, CaSP president at rosariomelnd@wisc.edu or casp.uw@gmail.com, or Crystal Potts, Director of State Relations at UW-Madison, at crystal.potts@wisc.edu.
