CALS to implement new faculty reporting tool

The college is implementing Watermark Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures) and will be rolling it out to all faculty members in the coming months.

Faculty Success is a tool for faculty to collect, manage and report their teaching, research and service activities, along with their accomplishments and professional activities.

  • Benefits of Faculty Success include:
    • Enables faculty to keep track of activity information in one place and to supply that information easily for multiple purposes such as annual activity reports, promotion and tenure documentation, data for accreditation reports, merit documentation, CV, data for web profiles and more.
    • Eliminates inconsistencies in reports and reduces requests for faculty to provide information related to their scholarship, research, creative activities and teaching.
  • In addition, Faculty Success is expected to:
    • Minimize manual data entry by departments, making faculty reporting less burdensome.
    • Improve performance evaluations by having the ability to look at individuals and departments with consistent data.
    • Decrease paper waste and file boxes of old reports.

Members of CALS Administration are being trained on the system and are working to customize the tool so it supports the college’s needs. Testing will begin in April, and then any identified issues or concerns will be addressed before training the full faculty.

Please look for project updates in eCALS and via email over the next few months. If you have any questions, contact Kara Luedtke.
