Volunteers sought for Wisconsin Youth Institute on Apr. 10

On April 10, CALS and the World Food Prize Foundation will be hosting the ninth annual Wisconsin Youth Institute as part of our involvement to solicit candidates to attend the Global Youth Institute in Des Moines, Iowa. Wisconsin high school students will have the opportunity to share global issues they are passionate about and propose their solutions to these challenges. To make this event successful, we will need some help.

We are hoping you will consider volunteering to be a Roundtable Facilitator, Roundtable Moderator, or Roundtable Observer to offer your expertise and share your research with our Wisconsin high school students. See below for more details.

Roundtable Facilitators will review student research papers before the institute takes place. Must be available on Monday, April 10, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. to facilitate and evaluate student presentations to critique their research and solutions with provided rubrics.

Roundtable Moderators will be the timekeeper and ensure a smooth flow of student presentations. Must be available on Monday, April 10, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. to moderate the presentations and discussions.

Roundtable Observer must be available Monday, April 10, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. to observe student presentations.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form by Friday, March 3.
