Attend CALS-specific Lumen orientations and open labs this spring
CALS faculty and staff who are working on course changes, new courses, or program changes for their department can attend a CALS-specific orientation and Open Lab. Bring a syllabus for a new course or course change to receive guided assistance on how to use it to submit a Lumen proposal.
Governed academic content for courses and programs is approved through the Lumen software system. This includes new courses, course changes to governed content, and program updates to admissions/eligibility, requirements, curriculum, and policies.
This orientation will provide a CALS-specific, basic overview of the parts of a Lumen course proposal, the responsibilities of the proposer, timelines, and some best practices. Participants can bring this information back to their own departments.
CALS faculty or staff with some experience in Lumen Courses, or those looking for assistance with Lumen Programs, can attend all or part of the Open Lab to ask questions and receive guided assistance with their own proposals.
