Janelle Jordan Naab has joined the CALS Office of External Relations as graphic designer.
She comes to CALS from Goodman Community Center in Madison, Wisconsin, where she was assistant director of communications. Her primary duties at the center were creating print and digital design pieces to promote programs, facilities and events; developing marketing campaigns in collaboration with multiple stakeholders; and leading design efforts for the bimonthly Eastside News. She was previously graphic designer for the Madison Children’s Museum, director of communications for Bethel Lutheran Church of Madison, senior art director at Scott-McRae Advertising and graphic designer at Capital Newspapers, Inc.
Jordan Naab also has more than 17 years of experience as a freelance graphic designer, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications with a graphic design focus from UW–River Falls. In September, she will complete a capstone certificate program in user experience design at UW–Madison.
Jordan Naab will serve as principle designer and art director for Grow magazine and will coordinate the design and production of the college’s publications and promotional materials in both print and digital formats. She will also maintain a uniform graphic identity for the college and consult with faculty and staff throughout CALS on matters of design and production. Her appointment began on July 6.
The graphic designer position was previously held by Danielle Lamberson Philipp, who now works as a graphic designer at UW–Madison’s University Marketing office.
