Info session on risks and responsibilities when hosting minors on campus

The Office of Precollege/Youth Programming and Compliance (PYPC) invites members of the UW campus community to attend an info session. If you are beginning to bring minors (under age 18) to campus for ANY reason, and/or have no prior experience with youth protection, this session is for you:

What have you gotten yourself into?:
An intro to risks, responsibilities, special considerations if you have minors on campus
(any number, for any length of time, in any activity, under age 18).

PLEASE SHARE WIDELY WITH UW STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS. Anyone who brings a minor under age 18 to campus (including field trips, job shadowing, lab visits, summer camps, etc.) needs to understand their personal risks and legal liability.

  • Screening anyone who works with youth/minors
  • Rules and Expectations related to Youth Protection
  • Resources to help you succeed, reduce your risk, and recognize your legal liabilities
