A Growing Dilemma: The Future of Food course features panel discussions with researchers, ag community
Are you interested in agriculture and food production?
Interested individuals are invited to attend A Growing Dilemma: The Future of Food, a new UW course being taught by Yi Wang, assistant professor and extension specialist in the Department of Horticulture. The course format involves lectures on Tuesdays by Wang and others, followed by panel discussions on Thursdays featuring researchers, farmers, and other members of the agricultural community.
The first week of class will feature a panel discussion with Jed Colquhoun (horticulture) and Paul Mitchell (agricultural and applied economics) on the question: What is sustainability and why is it important? The panel discussion will take place 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24 in 1510 Microbial Sciences Building.
