Transitions within CALS Research Division
Bill Barker, CALS associate dean for research, recently shared the following information with CALS faculty and staff.
I’m delighted to announce that Sarah Marcotte will assume supervisory responsibilities for the Research Division as of April 1, 2018. As you may know, Vincent Borleske recently realized his lifelong dream of escaping Wisconsin winters and so leaves the CALS Research Division at the end of March. Vince served the college and its Research Division well for nearly 10 years. We appreciate his many years of dedicated service to CALS and wish him the best as he assumes a new position with the University of Arizona in Tucson. I am grateful to Vince and Sarah, for they are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition.
Indeed, we now enter a time of transition in the Research Division as we recruit, hire and train a new research administrator. The PVL for that position is already posted. The Research Division staff – Sarah, Kate, Kyle, and Michell – will contact departments and other CALS units soon regarding a transition plan for the coming months. My hope is we can all work together to ensure minimal disruption for PIs, faculty and staff in handling proposal submission and other pre-award activities.
Please feel welcome to contact Sarah, members of the Research Division or me about these coming changes. Thank you for your continuing patience and cooperation, and join me in congratulating Sarah and Vince. On Wisconsin!
