On Monday, April 9, CALS will be hosting the 4th annual Wisconsin Youth Institute as part of the involvement to solicit candidates to attend the World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa. Wisconsin high school students are encouraged to submit a paper and join a day of dialogue and information sharing.
You can find more information about the program at this site. There are several ways you can participate in the day’s events. The following volunteer opportunities need to be filled:
- To serve as panelists for the student paper presentations
- To be observers of the student presentations and provide feedback and rankings
- To consider participation in an exploration fair that provides a hands-on workshop or display the students will partake in to offer a flavor of the research and activity in CALS
- To be a quick tour stop where you can highlight a particular building or activity while students and their guests are given a tour of the CALS campus
If you are interested in participating, please complete the survey at cals.wisc.edu/wisconsinyouthinstitute/. Presentations will be given in the morning, the tour just before lunch, and the exploration stations between 12:30 and 2 p.m.This entry was posted in Student opportunities, Teaching & Advising by Ben.
