Earlier this week, Karl Martin, Dean and Director of Cooperative Extension, announced the following hire:
“After a highly competitive national search for our Associate Dean of Operations and Policy, I’m excited to announce that Patrick Proden has accepted the position. Patrick brings extensive experience and a national reputation in urban extension programming and partnership building. Patrick is no stranger to some of you, as he currently chairs the National Urban Extension Leaders (NUEL) group. Patrick has had diverse work experiences with tribal nations in Alaska and overseas with the Peace Corp in Tanzania. Over the past eight years he has generated new partnerships and significant funding for Oregon State University Extension in the Portland region and has revitalized the role and impact of extension in Portland and surrounding counties.
Patrick is excited to be joining UW Cooperative Extension and will start his new position April 16. His family will be making the move to Wisconsin from Portland when the school year ends. The All-Colleague Conference will be a great time to welcome and get to know Patrick.
I want to thank everyone for sending in comments on the candidates and the Search and Screen Committee for their role in evaluating the applications and working with me to evaluate input and hire the best candidate for the position.
Please join me in welcoming Patrick to UW Cooperative Extension!”This entry was posted in Extension and Outreach by Ben. Bookmark the permalink.
