Shiela Reaves honored by McNair Scholars Program

Shiela Reaves, a professor in the Department of Life Sciences Communication, was recognized by the UW-Madison Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program for her service as an outstanding mentor.

The McNair Scholars Program supports undergraduate students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and capacities necessary to successfully navigate the rigors of Ph.D. studies and works to create a bridge between undergraduate and graduate education.

Reaves specializes in visual communication and is interested in how neuroscience supports interdisciplinary theories of visual imagery used in science communication and technology studies.
