The next installment of the Learning about Ethics in Animal Research Now (LEARN) series, titled “We need to talk: Strategies for productive conversations about animal research,” will be held Thursday, March 30 from 7 – 9 p.m. in Room 1111 of the Genetics Biotech Center.
The seminar will feature guest Professor Janet Stemwedel from San Jose State University. Her teaching and research focus on philosophy of science and ethical issues in scientific research.
The seminar is part of UW’s Science Expeditions and will also be videocast live and archived as a special edition of Wednesday Nite@the Lab.
LEARN is a UW-Madison public seminar series. LEARN is focused on providing opportunities for public education and engagement about contemporary animal research and ethical consideration of public interests in scientific discovery, animal welfare and global health.
