Opportunity for your students: Annual Undergraduate Symposium

The Undergraduate Symposium is the university’s premier opportunity to showcase the research, service learning, and other creative and scholarly projects of our students.  The work is consistently of extraordinary quality; it demonstrates their emerging status as young professionals and scholars.  We are extremely proud of our students and their accomplishments.  And, of course, they could not have been so successful without your support and encouragement.  Thank you for that.

This spring marks the 16th anniversary of the Undergraduate Symposium; it will take place on Thursday, April 10 in Union South. It is open to all University of Wisconsin-Madison students enrolled during the 2013-2014 academic year, including those who graduated in December 2013.  Students may present work they did at any time during the academic year, including in fall 2013 courses. Please note that applications and abstracts are due on March 3, 2014, through the Symposium website/.

Please encourage your own students to apply.  Presenting one’s work at a symposium like this is an important part of students’ professional development.  Many of our colleagues make participation in the Undergraduate Symposium a required part of their students’ research and scholarship experience.
