The Office of Undergraduate Academic Awards asks you to nominate outstanding senior students for the Theodore Herfurth and Teddy Kubly Awards for Initiative and Efficiency, which are among the oldest and most prestigious undergraduate awards at UW-Madison.
Two awards of $2,000 are given annually, one to a senior man and the other to a senior woman who have made the most effective use of their time at UW-Madison. Recipients are selected based on an admirable combination of four factors:
- academic achievement
- distinguished participation in significant and constructive extra-curricular activities
- financial self-support (work, scholarships, etc.)
- effective oral and written communication skills
Applicants must be senior students who are enrolled during the spring 2014 semester and plan to graduate in May, August, or December of 2014.
NOMINATION DEADLINE: February 17. Fill out a short online nomination form here or email email@example.com with the names and email addresses of the students you wish to nominate. The UAA Office will invite nominated students to apply for the award.
