Chancellor Blank: “…it’s not a real university if it doesn’t have an ag school…”

From Chancellor Blank’s Oct. 10 address to the UW Board of Visitors: “Both of my parents worked as extension agents, so I grew up around big land grant universities. Indeed, when I got this job, one of the things my dad said to me was: ‘Well, you finally got a job at a real university.’ Since I left Minnesota I’ve not been someplace with an ag school. I don’t know who’s here from the ag school, but it’s not a real university if it doesn’t have an ag school, right?” Go here for a video of the talk and start listening at the 10:45 minute mark.
