CALS profs speak at Slow Food Week events
CALS faculty, staff and students are playing a big part in campus activities for Real Food Week, which runs today through Oct 25. CALS faculty members will be speaking at various events:
- Oct. 21 — Jack Kloppenburg, Community and Environmental Sociology and Director of UW-Madison’s Greenhouse Learning Community, will be part of a panel discussion at the Slow Food UW Family Dinner Night
- Oct 22 — Alfonso Morales, Urban and Regional Planning speaks on Distribution & Marketplaces in the Food System
- Oct 23 — Michael Bell, Community and Environmental Sociology will give a talk on on Foods and Goods – Valuing What We Eat
- Oct 24 — Jane Collins, Community and Environmental Sociology will speak on Labor Justice in the Food System
