Two CALS professors emeritus—agricultural economist Bob Cropp and dairy scientist Clarence Olson—will be honored this fall by the Ft. Atkinson-based National Dairy Shrine. Cropp has been selected as National Dairy Shrine’s 2013 Guest of Honor—the group’s highest honor— in recognition of his four decades of monitoring of dairy supplies and reporting dairy marketing facts to the industry. Olson will be honored as one of the Shrine’s Pioneer award recipients, in recognition of his dairy extension work, including helping to establish and improving the Dairy Herd Improvement program in Wisconsin. For details, see this article in the Wisconsin Ag Connection.
