Aaron Bishop, ’94, ’95. MS ’00, who earned undergraduate degrees in genetics and bacteriology in CALS, is one of a dozen UW-Madison alumni to receive a 2010 Forward Under 40 award from the Wisconsin Alumni Association. The award honors grads under the age of 40 who are making a positive impact. Bishop is on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and an advocate for persons with disabilities. “As the driving force behind important legislation such as the Assistive Technology Act of 2004 and the Traumatic Brain Injury Act, Bishop owes his interest in disability advocacy to his days at the UW,” according to Bishop’s profile on the Forward Under 40 website.
Also winning a 2010 Forward Under 40 award is genetics professor Ahna Skop.
