Apply for Grand Challenge for Global Health grants by May 28

Applications for Round 3 of Grand Challenges Explorations grants are now being accepted through May 28. Grand Challenges Explorations fosters innovation in global health research by focusing on 14 major global health challenges with the aim of engaging creative minds across scientific disciplines — including those who have not traditionally taken part in health research — to work on solutions that could lead to breakthrough advances for those in the developing world. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $100 million to encourage scientists worldwide to expand the pipeline of ideas to fight our greatest health challenges. Launched in 2008, Grand Challenge Explorations grants have already been awarded to more than 100 researchers from 22 countries. The grant program is open to anyone from any discipline, from student to tenured professor, and from any organization – colleges and universities, government laboratories, research institutions, non-profit organizations and for-profit companies.
