If you’re applying for USDAs Specialty Crop Research Initiative, let us know ASAP

If you have submitted a letter of intent and plan on preparing a full proposal for the USDA CSREES Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI), the CALS Research Division asks that you begin working with your departmental pre-award specialist immediately. All SCRI’s require a 100 percent cost share, which will require quite a bit of time to determine.

Cost-sharing (or matching) on grants has programmatic, administrative, and financial consequences for the University of Wisconsin and on such a large project, requires a great deal of planning. Your department contact in the CALS Research Division would like to begin working with you as soon as possible to explore possibilities for your SCRI proposal.
