James Hansen to keynote Wisconsin Renewable Energy Summit March 25

Climate scientist James E. Hansen, longtime director of the NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, will keynote the 2009 Wisconsin Renewable Energy Summit at noon, Wed., March 25 at Milwaukee’s Midwest Airlines Center. Hansen is celebrated around the globe for his leadership in alerting humankind to the enormity of the climate crisis and the urgent need for mitigation. He recently received the Carl Gustaf Rossby Research Medal from the American Meteorological Society “for outstanding contributions to climate modeling, understanding climate change forcings and sensitivity, and for clear communication of climate science in the public arena.”
