During Spring 2009, UW-Madison will again offer professional development sessions for Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Program/Project Assistants (PAs) focusing on diversity, discrimination and harassment. It’s important that all TAs and PAs are made aware of this opportunity. Please download and post this memo to TAs and PAs describing this workshop and schedule of the workshop sessions.
Please make sure that this information is delivered to TAs and PAs who have not previously attended these sessions, and that copies are posted on departmental bulletin boards (both conventional ones and electronic versions). TAs and PAs who have attended one of these sessions in the past need not attend again. We want to be sure that all TAs and PAs in your department are made aware of these workshops and encouraged to attend.
TAs and PAs should register online to ensure that the reserved rooms can accommodate the anticipated audience size and that adequate supplies of handouts are available for each session. We can only accommodate approximately 40 registered participants at each Spring 2009 session. Therefore, we may be unable to accommodate participants who do not register online prior to the scheduled session date and time. If you intend to verify the attendance of your department’s TAs and PAs at these sessions, please prepare and distribute a short form to be signed by the presenters at each session. The schedule of sessions, electronic copies of the materials referenced during each presentation, and on-line registration are available at: http://www.oed.wisc.edu/workshop.html.This entry was posted in Human Resources and tagged Grad students by jsindelar.
