Federal Worker Protection Standard (WPS) training offered for CALS faculty, staff and students on April 29 and May 22

The Federal Worker Protection Standard for Agricultural Pesticides requires employers provide training for all employees at risk to potential exposure to pesticides. This spring Roger Flashinski, UW Pesticide Applicator Training Coordinator, will conduct WPS training sessions on April 29 and May 22 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in Rm 108 Plant Sciences. This training is required every five years for all CALS faculty, staff and students who are involved with crop or grazing research at our agricultural research stations and are not already certified to apply pesticides. In addition, separate WPS training is required for all CALS faculty, staff and students, working at our campus greenhouses. This training is conducted by Ag Research Station Greenhouse personnel. For more information please contact Dwight Mueller at 262- 2757 or Roger Flashinski at 263-6358 or download an announcement.
