The School of Medicine and Public Health recently evaluated the fees for IRB review that were first implemented in December 2001 and compared them to those charged by many commercial institutions and commercial IRBs. Based on this analysis, the SMPH recently made changes in its IRB fee structure. Some IRB fees will be increased and some new fees charged. The changes are outlined in a memo from Marc Drenzer, Senior Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research.
