Thanks for helping CALS Partners in Giving campaign succeed

Thank you to all who contributed to the 2007 Partners in Giving Campaign. We wanted to emphasize participation rate over dollars and in that regard we exceeded last year by 21 pledges. Our CALS participation rate was 27.3 percent with 365 of 1339 contributing. This compares to a campus participation rate of 20.5 percent.

This year the CALS administration challenged units to match or exceed our participation rate. The only three units that met the challenge were Nutritional Science, Life Science Communication (LSC) and the Program on Agricultural Technology Studies (PATS). All three units had 100 percent participation or higher. As a result, Nutritional Science was awarded the autographed football from Coach Bielema and a set of four hockey tickets and LSC was awarded the other set of four hockey tickets. Your administrative units ended up with a collective participation rate of 63 percent. While we definitely had a successful campaign, we did fall short of our expectations. I would like to again thank those who participated and would encourage the those that didn’t to consider this opportunity next year.
