Student telefunders turn in top performances

CALS would like to thank all of our students who participated in the College’s Telefund drive. When this season’s effort got underway, the CALS development team offered a $100 bonus to any student who could bring in a minimum of five gifts of at least $500 during November and December. Two callers met this goal. One was CALS student Sara Vanderstappen, who brought in 15 such gifts. Another student, Megan Hauser brought in 5 gifts of at least $500. Together, the two raised more than $10,000.

Sara is a Dairy Science and Spanish major from Lake Geneva and is coming up on her one-year anniversary with the Telefund. Megan has been with the Telefund for over two years and is a Political Science and Russian major from Menomonee Falls, who also volunteers as a Conversational English Tutor through the Greater University Tutoring Services (GUTS).

The Telefund is an important source of funds — especially discretionary funds that can be used for unexpected special projects. Thanks Sara and Megan! For more information on the CALS Telefund drive please contact Brian Hettiger at
