The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is inviting companies to present at BIO Mid-America VentureForum, the Midwest venture conference for the bioscience, biofuel, medical device, and venture capital communities in the U.S. and Canada.
What & Who:
BIO Mid-America VentureForum is the largest Midwest investor conference for life science firms. Presenters will have the opportunity to build and develop relationships with corporate investors, VCs, angel investors, investment banks, industry experts, and other companies.
When & Where:
This year’s forum, hosted by BIO, Wisconsin Biotechnology and Medical Device Association, and eight additional Midwest bioscience associations, will be held September 24-26, 2007 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
BIO Mid-America is expanding its presentation tracks to include Medical Device, BioIT, and Biofuel companies.
Approximately 60 pre-screened bioscience and health care product, technology, device, diagnostics, bioIT, and biofuel companies seeking early to late-stage funding will present their portfolios and platforms to an international audience of top venture capital firms and angel investors.
In response to the growing number of deal syndicates between Midwest and coastal investors, BIO Mid-America brings corporate and private VCs, angel investors and investment banks from multiple regions together in one place, providing an unmatched financial networking opportunity.
This year, BIO Mid-America has a special emphasis on business development activity; the conference includes a partnering forum that will allow attendees to schedule and conduct meetings before the event and on-site. The Partnering system is an online communication tool that allows attendees to utilize various search features to evaluate potential collaborations and funding opportunities between attending companies. Partnering will be facilitated via a secured on-line system.
