On April 3, Steenbock Library sent the first shipment of materials to Google to be digitized. Another shipment will go out every 4-6 weeks for the next 6 years. Turnaround time for materials is expected to be within 6-8 weeks.
At this time, Steenbock is sending low use materials from the UW Madison Shelving Facility, and Wisconsin documents, which are unlikely to be sent for digitization by any other Google partners.
If you havent tried Google Book Search recently, you may be pleasantly surprised! Try it out at http://books.google.com/ . If you have any questions about using Google Books, your liaison librarian will be happy to help out, as always.
