Future of Farming Conference is May 14-15 at Monona Terrace

CALS Dean Molly Jahn, U.S. Rep. Ron Kind and DATCP Secretary Rod Nilsestuen will be among the keynote speakers at the Future of Farming and Rural Life in Wisconsin conference May 14-15 at Monona Terrace.

The conference, “Our Heritage, Our Future,” culminates two years of study in the project sponsored by the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. CALS faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend and help shape a sustainable and healthy future for agriculture and rural life. Student scholarships are available. Conference attendees will provide input on a draft set of recommendations and action steps, many of them focusing on education.
