Chancellor Wiley has put out a second call for nominations for the Wisconsin Idea Seminar. The nomination deadline is March 1. This 5-day tour of the state gives university members an opportunity to listen, learn and connect with the citizens of Wisconsin. Begun in 1985, the Seminar immerses faculty and staff in the educational, social and political realities of Wisconsin. During the tour participants are introduced to the Wisconsin Idea, the commitment to use university expertise and resources to address the problems of the state. The next seminar takes place May 2127.
The chancellor asks assistance in identifying new faculty, newly tenured faculty, new associate deans, new department chairs, and lead academic staff with statewide responsibilities. More information and nomination forms are available at http://wisideaseminar.wisc.edu/
