Dean Jahn was among those quoted in a recent Capital Times article that featured reactions to Governor Doyle’s State of the Union message. In the article she stressed the governor’s support for biotechnology and stem cell research at the university.
“Making higher education a priority contributes heavily to economic development and growth, and investment in biomedical research and renewable fuels gives strength to the engine that runs the economy,” she said. “I am very pleased to see the governor recognize the capacity the UW System as a whole can bring to bear on 21st century challenges.”
