CALS granted full accreditation by AAALAC

The Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALACC) International recently granted CALS full accreditation with no suggestions for improvement. The fact that the organization offered no suggestions for improvement is a testimony to the dedication of the CALS team responsible for preparing for the review, which was led by Richard Straub of the CALS Research Division.

AAALAC International is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs. According to the organization’s website, more than 700 companies, universities, hospitals, government agencies and other research institutions in 29 countries have earned AAALAC accreditation, demonstrating their commitment to responsible animal care and use.
