Generosity report: The College’s Partners in Giving effort was a great success

The 2006 Partners in Giving Campaign has officially ended and our college is to be commended on its performance. We set lofty goals to improve our level of participation and we met those goals. thanks to the generosity of our staff.

Of our 33 CALS units, 24 increased the number of participants over 2005, six had fewer and three stayed the same. Overall, we had 344 participants this year compared to 243 in 2005. The unit awards provided by the campus went to Undergraduate Program Services for the highest percent participation for a unit with more than 10 employees, and the two sets of four hockey tickets went to the departments of Urban and Regional Planning and Biochemistry. The College will be making its own awards to our department coordinators at a reception to be held in the Dean’s office (date to be announced).

Thank you to all who participated. We appreciate your benevolence and we are looking forward to improving on our record in 2007. The announcement on the results of the entire campaign will be made public in the coming weeks.
