Encourage students to participate in 2026 Undergraduate Symposium

Spread the word about the 2026 Undergraduate Symposium and encourage undergraduates who may be interested in showcasing their research, scholarly work, community-engaged projects, art or creative pursuits to apply. Details to share with students can be found below. All UW–Madison undergraduates who submit a complete application will be able to participate.

Also add the event to your calendars. The Undergraduate Symposium is a great opportunity to learn about and engage with undergraduate work across the disciplines.

Showcase Your Work at the 2026 Undergraduate Symposium

The 2026 Undergraduate Symposium application is open! Apply by 11:59pm on Friday, March 6, to present your research, scholarly work, community-based project, art or creative endeavor at this annual campus-wide showcase and celebration of undergraduate achievement. All UW–Madison undergraduates are eligible to participate.

The 2026 Undergraduate Symposium will be held on Friday, April 17, at Union South and the Discovery Building.

Why Present?

  • Gain experience presenting your work in a professional setting.
  • Build valuable communication, public speaking, and networking skills.
  • Learn about and be inspired by other undergraduate projects in and outside of your field.
  • Share your work with and get feedback from faculty, staff, and other students from across campus.
  • Celebrate your achievements and those of your peers!

Please ensure that you have completed the mentor approval form and prepared a final version of your project title and abstract or artist’s statement before applying.
