Reminder: Faculty Activity Reports due Jan. 12
CALS faculty members should submit their 2025 Faculty Activity Reports to their department chair by Monday, January 12 using the updated CALS Faculty Success reporting tool. Updates were made to the tool based on feedback from faculty members after using the tool for the first time for the 2024 FARs.
As a reminder, not all fields in Faculty Success will be pulled into the FAR, but they can be viewed and queried by deans and department chairs. In addition, you can use the information you enter into Faculty Success for other purposes, so if something is important to you, you should enter it. Beyond the fields represented in the FAR, it is up to the individual to decide how much information to enter into Faculty Success.
Also, faculty members using Faculty Success to report their annual activities will have online profiles hosted on the CALS Admin website with information populated from the reporting tool. Faculty should update their biographies and photos for public viewing by Monday, January 12 when the faculty profiles will be live on the website.
The online profiles will draw from available information you enter in Faculty Success, including photo, brief biography, education/degrees, and the last three years of publications, presentations and courses for which you were an instructor of record. You will see an “allow sharing” toggle on some screens in Faculty Success. Leave it set to “yes” and ask Kara Luedtke if you have questions about what is shared online.
Faculty members can find useful information such as the link to login to Faculty Success, how-to documents, demonstration videos and FAQs on the CALS Faculty Success website.
If you have any question, please contact Kara Luedtke.
