Narcan now available at 35 campus locations
University Health Services has announced that Narcan, a brand of naloxone nasal spray, is now available in 35 locations on campus. This lifesaving medication can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose.
Over the past three years, the university has continued to expand access to Narcan through wall-mounted boxes in campus buildings. In 2022, Narcan was made available in Housing, with additional access points on campus added in fall 2023. This month, 10 more Narcan boxes were installed in university buildings, including Memorial Library, Fluno Center and the Arboretum. Free fentanyl test strips are also now available in the UHS Health Vending Machine in the Student Activity Center on the 3rd floor of 333 East Campus Mall.
