Submit recent publications for inclusion in November “Hot of the Press” series of Badger Talks Presents

UW–Madison faculty and staff are invited to submit recent publications that would appeal to a broad Wisconsin audience for inclusion in the November series of Badger Talks Presents, themed “Hot Off the Press.”  The series will feature two pre-recorded Quick Picks and two podcasts to highlight at least four recent publications.

All suggestions are welcome. Selections will be based on those for which concepts are easily digestible, engaging, accessible, and thoughtfully connected to current public conversations and/or important or exciting areas of interest.

What they’re looking for:

  • Publications released in the past two years (recent books, journal articles with strong public relevance, notable essays/op-eds, widely shareable research summaries)
  • Topics with broad interest
  • Clear real-world takeaways
  • Concepts that can be presented in a non-technical way (suited to a wide audience)

If you have work you’d like to be considered, complete this brief form by September 1. Submissions will be reviewed as they come in. Selected authors will be contacted no later than September 7.

Badger Talks events, pre-recorded talks and podcasts generate a million+ impressions per year, and 10,000–15,000 views per pre-recorded talk. The podcast has had 10,000 downloads for 6,000 unique listeners.
