Reminder: Ellison Lab will host UW Hemp Research Field Day on Aug. 20
The Ellison Lab in the Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences is hosting a field day about the latest hemp research being conducted here at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Arlington Agricultural Research Station (N633 Hopkins Road, Arlington, WI 53911). Coffee and donuts will be available starting at 8:45 a.m.
Presentations will be given in a “speed run” format, with 10-minute presentations followed by 5 minutes for Q&A. Attendees will be shuttled to trials/presenters across the research station. The presentations will be given by UW faculty and staff, as well as members of Extension focusing on their respective research priorities including, but not limited to:
- Industrial (grain/fiber) Hemp Variety Trials
- High Cannabinoid Hemp Variety Trials
- Efforts to Preserve and Characterize Feral Hemp Germplasm
- IPM Diagnostic Tool Development
- Companion Cropping in Hemp
- Evaluation of Hemp Fiber Production and Quality
