CALS products featured at “Scoops of Science” creamery reception at US Capitol Visitor Center
A “Scoops of Science” creamery reception was held at the US Capitol Visitor Center on Tuesday, June 4. The event, which 400 people registered to attend, featured ice cream, cheese and preserves from fourteen universities, including UW–Madison. A brochure highlighted the dairy and agriculture research taking place on the campuses of the universities in attendance.
The event was hosted by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) with support from the House Agriculture Committee. It celebrated with Congress the role of public and land-grant universities and the vital contributions of agriculture research to society.
