CALS has selected the 2024 Universities of Wisconsin Consortium for Extension and Research in Agriculture and Natural Resources (CERANR) recipients.
The 2024 awarded projects are:
Engineering an Innovative Ventilation Design to Improve Climate Control for Indoor Calf Housing, Neslihan Akdeniz, Christopher Choi, UW–Madison Biological Systems Engineering and Bob Zhiwei Zeng, UW-River Falls.
Determinants of Sustainable Agricultural Practices on Wisconsin Farms, Michael Bell, Rachel Gurney, UW–Madison Community and Environmental Sociology, and Shaheer Burney, UW-River Falls.
Investigation of Microwave-Assisted Fenton-Like Reaction for PFAS Removal from Water Using Biomass-Based Catalysts, Xuejun Pan, UW–Madison Biological Systems Engineering and Seyed Javad Amirfakhri, UW-Stevens Point.
This award is for cooperation and collaboration with University of Wisconsin–Madison, Platteville, River-Falls and Stevens Point. The research disciplines help develop synergistic and effective solutions to critical issues. The funding is provided to help research cooperators to address critical, emerging and ongoing state research needs for issues that have an impact on our agricultural and natural resource systems.
