CALS, PAS and PSGSC thank blood drive volunteers and donors

The CALS Community of Wellness, the Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences (PAS) and the Plant Sciences Graduate Student Council (PSGSC) thanks the volunteers and donors who made the blood drive on Thursday, February 22 a success.

Whether you donated blood, staffed the registration table, moved furniture or made snacks for the canteen, thank you! In total, 28 products were donated. One donation can help save more than one life – every donation makes an impact.

In January, the Red Cross announced a nationwide blood supply shortage. If you weren’t able to attend the February 22 drive, please consider donating if you are able. To make an appointment to give blood or platelets, donors can use the Red Cross Blood App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Please see the poster below as an example of why blood donations matter.

Dan Heider is a part of the PAS community. CALS sends condolences to him and his family.
