Register for CALS EDC and Wellness Committee workshop: Build and strengthen collegial relationships – Sept. 14

The new academic year has started and what better way to build and strengthen your classroom and office relationships by attending a lunchtime session on Sept. 14. See below for further details and registration. Spots are still available!

The CALS Equity and Diversity Committee and CALS Wellness Committee invite you to attend a workshop on Thursday, September 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on “Spirit, heart, mind, and body: Holistic ways of knowing can lead to a satisfying environment for working and learning well with another.”

This interactive workshop will be led by Annie Jones, professor with UW–Madison Division of Extension, and held in Steenbock Library, BioCommons 110A&B. A free lunch will be provided. Registration is required, as space is limited. Register at

About the Speaker: Annie Jones, PhD, is an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation, and a Professor, Organization Development and Tribal Nations Specialist with UW–Madison’s Division of Extension. She is affiliate faculty with the Departments of American Indian Studies and Community and Environmental Sociology. In her twenty-five-year career, she has served as Associate Dean, Special Assistant to the Dean for Strategic Directions, and as a Community Development Educator. Jones’ areas of research include indigenous methodologies and cultural teachings to enhance leadership development, organizational planning, educational program development and evaluation. She co-leads UW–Madison’s Native Nations UW effort along with Omar Poler.
