Join the agronomy and horticulture departments for a special seminar series during the Spring 2023 Agronomy Colloquium: Celebrating Gender Diversity in Plant Sciences and Agroecology. The Agronomy Colloquium is held in person on Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in Plant Sciences room 108.
Additionally, please join us for some social time before the seminar (11:30 a.m.) in the break room 373 for light refreshments and conversation.

Speaker: Aurelie Rakotondrafara
Dr. Rakotondrafara’s research focuses on plant virus translation and plant viral defense responses. Her education and research have taken all around the globe from her first home in Madagascar to Iowa State University to Heidelberg, Germany, before joining our UW community as faculty in the Department of Plant Pathology. Dr. Rakotondrafara also currently serves as the Faculty Co-Director of the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program.
