CALS Wellness Committee tip: Great ideas for UW gifts, experiential gifts and more
Still looking for gifts for your winter festivities? Your CALS Wellness Committee is here to help!
We suggest you start here: UW–Madison recently published their annual Holiday Gift Guide. Whether you prefer Badger gear, artistic gift giving, science-based gifts, or being active, the UW has you covered.
Here are a few other things to ponder for gift-giving inspiration:
- Consider gifting an experience, such as a day at the zoo, a water park, or an amusement park. Creating memories with a special someone is a gift! Other experiential gifts include theatre tickets, dance classes, and art and craft kits. Museum or zoo memberships also make great family gifts.
- Consider volunteering with loved ones to help others. This activity results in a number of “gifts” — to your community, and to you and your loved ones. As explained in this Mayo Clinic article, volunteering comes with a number of health benefits — such as reducing stress and depression.
- Consider eco-friendly gifts, to leave a minimal ecological footprint and help benefit the environment. For ideas, check out this Good Housekeeping gift guide.
