On Feb. 22, 2021, Deb Juneau joined the CALS Office of Business Services as assistant dean for budget and finance.
She comes to CALS from campus’ Facilities Planning and Management division, where she led the Financial Planning and Analysis team, directing all activities related to budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis. Prior to that, she worked at BB7 as chief financial officer, and at TDS Telecommunications Corp. where she held various roles, including director of finance for cable growth, director of financial planning and analysis, director of strategic planning, and director of business development and planning.
Juneau brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, leadership, and strategic planning in the areas of budgeting, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, management reporting, long-range forecasting, product and business development, and more.
In her CALS role, Juneau will work with the Angela Seitler, CALS associate dean for business services, on the development of the annual college operating budget, college budget forecasting, and program cost analyses. Juneau will oversee and be responsible for working with CALS units on their annual budget; rate structures for revenue-generating programs; budget transfers; reviewing and auditing CALS departmental financial transactions and expenditures; and other tasks. In collaboration with college leadership, she will help the college implement new budget and policy initiatives for campus financial tools and systems.
The assistant dean for budget and finance is a new position at CALS, one that replaces vacant accountant and budget planner positions in the Office of Business Services.
