In 2015, the University of Wisconsin–Madison publicly launched the All Ways Forward capital campaign. The college set an ambitious goal to raise $150 million by the end of 2020—the planned close of the campaign.
Just before the end of the fall semester, we achieved our $150 million goal thanks to thousands of alumni, friends, companies and organizations supporting CALS activities.
More than 12,500 CALS donors funded:
- 62 new undergraduate scholarships
- 14 new named faculty chairs and professorships
- $33 million to support building projects
As with so many of our operations, the coronavirus pandemic forced the university to rethink campaign stewardship and celebration plans. With the unanimous support from the Campaign Planning Committee, Chancellor Blank, and the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association Board of Directors, the campaign timeline was extended. The new end date is December 31, 2021.
Prior to the formal celebration of the campaign, the CALS team at the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) will be working with recipients of campaign gifts to steward donors by expressing our thanks and sharing stories of how gifts are being used to support research, teaching and outreach.
We are looking forward to celebrating this success and sharing more gift impact stories in the future.
